After completing this seminar, participants will be able to:
- recognize the key elements of a wireless network;
- describe how each part of the wireless network works;
- understand best practices in network connectivity and what not to do when implementing a wireless network;
- understand how the implementation of inappropriate security might leave you vulnerable.
Finally, participants will learn to understand the different techniques for securing wireless and how they can conduct an assessment and technical review of an organization’s network.

Contents
|
|
In this course you will learn about the various types of wireless networks and what best practices you need for your wireless architecture.
You will also learn to recognise the risks of using WEP while understanding how WPA and WPA2 can improve security, with new content on the weaknesses in the WPA protocol.
Additionally, you learn about:
- 802.11 Security Architecture;
- what’s new with WiMaS;
- security tools and techniques;
- using encryption to protect the network;
- how IPSEC and VPN technology might increase security;
- understanding and implementing best practices;
- the audit process, step by step.
