Through an actual demonstration of An Active Directory audit you’ll learn how controls work in Forests and Tree structures and how to ensure Trusts do not negate your controls.
- A typical directory structure should include an Empty Root Domain and you will learn why this is good practice.
- To ensure your complete understanding you’ll learn about Sites and the Schema and how FSMO roles are managed.
- You will also understand the role of Organizational Units in ensuring security, along with the usual roles of users and groups.
- Finally, you’ll see how to implement sound and effective audit and logging, ensuring that not only are you protected by the implementation of good security practices but by sound and effective detective controls as well.
As an added benefit you will learn what
controls are new in each version of the Windows Operating System:

- Windows 2008
